THURSDAY 30 MAY OPENING NIGHT
FONDAZIONE MASCARADE OPERA - 56, VIA IL PRATO
The Festivalino opened with a gala evening at the Palazzo Corsini al Prato, headquarters of the Fondazione Mascarade Opera (FMO), to mark the launch of a new fresco and portrait cycle in support of the foundation’s scholarship endowment for the training of the world’s most talented emerging opera artists.
Virtual exhibition across the state rooms introducing the new ‘Florentine Camerata’ of fresco artists and the work of celebrated portraitist Jamie Coreth.
Opera concert in the Limonaia performed by alumni of Mascarade Opera & The New Generation Festival - soprano Alexandra Lowe, mezzo-soprano Marvic Monreal, tenor Aaron Godfrey-Mayes and baritone Gurgen Baveyan - accompanied by Mascarade Opera’s Artistic Director, Julia Lynch. Followed by a presentation about the foundation’s new endowment campaign.
Followed by a gala Dinner ‘tavolo imperiale’ banquet in the grand limonaia.
FRIDAY 31 MAY ‘GIOVANI VOCI ALL’OPERA’
TEATRO DELLA PERGOLA - 30, VIA DELLA PERGOLA
The showcase production of the emerging artists who are currently trained and supported by the Fondazione Mascarade Opera. Scenes from six different operas have been tied together into a fully staged devised show directed by Jean-Romain Vesperini and conducted by Maestro Wyn Davies with the Orchestra Filarmonica di Firenze - La Filharmonie.
The show was followed by dinner and dancing in the Ballroom of Teatro della Pergola, with Arachel Dolphie and Daisy’s Cuban Big Band, followed by Adam & The Apples.

SATURDAY 1 JUNE, 7 PM ‘REUNITED IN DANCE: SIMBIOSI’
TEATRO DELLA PERGOLA - 30, VIA DELLA PERGOLA
The gala production Simbiosi was presented by the remarkable company 'Reunited in Dance', a star-studded ensemble of dancers impacted by the war in Ukraine. Led by Xander Parish OBE, a former principal dancer at the Mariinsky Ballet in Saint Petersburg, the company features Russian and Ukrainian dancers who were previously part of Russia’s most elite dance companies. Simbiosi hopes to show that dialogue and reconciliation can still be found in dance and art. Conducted by Maestro Gavriel Heine with the Orchestra Senzaspine di Bologna.
Teh show was followed by dinner and party with the dancers at a surprise location.
SUNDAY 2 JUNE CLOSING SUNDAY LUNCH
CERTOSA DI FIRENZE
Choral concert performed by Vox Medicea conducted by the director of FMO’s Sacred Music Programme, Mark Spyropoulos followed by closing lunch in the chiostro.
