Venue

The glorious Mascarade Opera Foundation spaces at the Palazzo Corsini al Prato are situated in a gracious 16th century villa overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens in the heart of Florence, offering various options that are suitable for a wide range of corporate and private events.

Conveniently located close to Florence’s Santa Maria Novella station, the Palazzo offers splendour and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

All of our rooms are naturally lit and many are decorated with exquisite frescoes. Room sizes range from a small meeting room to larger workshop or breakout areas and our largest space is the magnificent recital hall, a bright and airy room which provides the perfect blank canvas to style as you wish for photoshoots, product launches, cocktail receptions, dinners, conferences and seminars.

The suite of interconnecting rooms can be hired either individually or together. Occasionally, the Palazzo’s gardens, the Giardino Corsini, are also available to hire for special events.

THE RECITAL HALL

Stretching across the back of the Palazzo, with glazed double-doors leading out to the splendid loggia overlooking the formal Italian garden, our magnificently-proportioned recital hall is the perfect place for concerts, conferences, product launches, receptions and dinners. Flooded with light during the day, it becomes an atmospheric reception venue in the evening.

The recital hall has connecting doors to the Library, the Sala Walter Scott, the Sala Palme and the Sala Camino.

SALA PALME

Named after the pair of potted palms that adorn the room, the Sala Palme has two large windows at the front of the Palazzo, providing plenty of natural light. Pretty frescoes of putti decorate the walls and ceiling.

SALA WALTER SCOTT

The romantic frescoes in the villa’s Sala Walter Scott create a particularly inspiring backdrop. Perfect for photoshoots, interviews or brainstorming sessions as well as dinners, this room is situated at the back of the Palazzo, overlooking the gardens.

SALA CAMINO

Situated at the front of the Palazzo with two large windows, this room is named after its beautiful fireplace. Elegantly-proportioned with high ceilings, this room lends itself to concerts, seminars and medium-sized gatherings.

THE LIBRARY

The Library is a gracious, light-filled room with two large windows overlooking the delightful Giardino Corsini. This flexible space with an elegantly-painted ceiling can be used for various events and workshops.

MEETING ROOM

The smallest of our spaces, this charming, jewel-box of a room is decorated with delicate pastoral frescoes. It is the perfect place for small dinners, interviews or meetings of up to 8 people.

THE GARDENS

The exquisite gardens at the Palazzo Corsini al Prato are a tranquil oasis in the heart of Florence. The central avenue is lined with statues on plinths and the formal flowerbeds are bordered by box hedges and citrus trees in terracotta pots.

Filippo di Lorenzo Corsini purchased the villa and garden in 1621 and commissioned Gherardo Silvano to complete the work that had been initiated by Bernardo Buontalenti for the property’s original owner, Alessandro Acciaioli, who had bought the land in 1591.

Divided into a series of outdoor ‘rooms’, various areas of the gardens are available to hire on occasion for special events. Please contact us for further details.
