For the first time, the final of our prestigious selection process will be open to the public – the conferral ceremony of the 'Laurus Florentiae.' Five of the ten finalists will be selected by the jury for this prestigious prize, and admitted to the Mascarade Opera programme for the 2025–2027 biennium.
The 'Laurus Florentiae' consists of a full scholarship equivalent to €60,000 per artist per year. In addition to providing each artist with an annual allowance, equivalent to an entry-level salary in the industry, our foundation also covers training and accommodation costs.
The silver laurels of the ‘Laurus Florentiae’ are sponsored and crafted by the renowned silversmith Pampaloni, who will also present a small silver trophy to the winner of the 'Public Choice Award', voted for by the audience after the performances.
The event will take place in the Saloncino of the Teatro della Pergola (Via della Pergola 12/32 – 50121 Florence) on 9 February 2025 at 6:30 PM.
